Currently Carrying — J.W. Anderson SS-18 Handbags
This season, Jonathan Anderson put a luxurious spin on homely touches — his Irish tea-towel linen, woven with a red stripe spelling out J.W. Anderson, was produced in a traditional Northern Irish factory. The set of his London runway show had an air of domesticity about it, too, with pieces from the young designer’s own art collection accenting a catwalk that was dressed with circular jute rugs. Perhaps a product of both art and craft, his handbags for Spring are especially covetable. Many of them, like the Handcrafted Breton Stripe Bag, are individually made, one-of-a-kind. Patchwork Pouches, Tool Bags in linen and suede, a Logo Printed Tote with Coca-Cola-esque insignia, and Checkerboard Print Leather Pierce shoulder bags round out this collection that pairs Pop with practicality.
